”Conscience and Celebration”
The name of the Green Square fall / winter 2009 collection illustrates the fact that we use natural fabrics of the finest quality, and that we emphasize the work with environmental and social issues. We want to give people the opportunity to enjoy luxury with a good conscience. Celebration describes the inspiration behind the collection. It explains the design of many of the garments such as evening dresses and elegant suits that are meant for memorable parties and ballroom evenings. The collection has been developed by designers from Norway and Sweden. We have been inspired by the 1930’s, the golden years of Hollywood, and also included some elements from a more Nordic style. The garments combine high fashion with a ready to wear look. Details from the recent years are mixed in, to create applicable and modern garments. Through our choice of shape and fitting, colours, details and accessories, we create a recognizable style for all the garments in the collection. Regarding the choice of colours, we have been inspired by the Norwegian flag: Red, white and blue, and these are mixed with black, peach and turquoise. The main colours in the collection are used to substantiate the elegant and exclusive look and harmonize well with each other. Royal blue gives the collection a solemn impression, while the strong red colour creates life, dynamic and drama as well as royalty. Black and white makes a balance between the crackling opposites and enhances the classic, pure and elegant style. The other colours bring more variation and excitement to the collection, as well as making it as playful as the Norwegian weather.
